Lead Scoring

Lead scoring is ranking prospective customers by how likely they are to convert, based on signals like conversation intent, stated budget, or engagement — often automated by an AI sales agent.

How AI changes lead scoring

Traditionally, lead scoring relied on form fields and page-visit data. An AI agent handling a sales conversation via conversational AI can score a lead from the conversation itself — what the prospect asked about, objections raised, and explicit buying signals — often more accurately than static form data alone.

Lead scoring and handoff

High-scoring leads are typically escalated to a human sales rep immediately (see escalation), while lower-intent conversations continue with the AI agent nurturing interest or answering product questions.
